This is an introductory course focusing on atomic structure and properties and how these Influence the behavior of atoms and simple molecules. This course is a prerequisite for the 2nd year courses of Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. Topics covered in the course (4 hr/week for a semester) include:
